Cookie policy
Cookies are small values stored by your browser. Hemcalcs uses them to make forms, account access and security work. Ian Kay trading as Hemcalcs is responsible for this website; contact [email protected] with questions.
Forms and the calculator
Form security cookies help confirm a submission comes from the browser that opened the form. Calculator cookies retain a calculation reference so you can return to your measurements. Quote upload cookies allow attachments to be added to the enquiry you just submitted; that upload permission expires after two hours.
Client portal
A challenge cookie connects code entry to your sign-in request. Codes expire after ten minutes. A portal session allows you to view your own bookings, quotes and files; it expires after eight hours or 30 minutes without activity. Signing out ends the session. Form security cookies can last up to one day.
WordPress, security and payments
WordPress uses login and preference cookies for staff administration. Cloudflare may use cookies for security checks or protected access. Stripe uses its own cookies on the payment service for payment processing and fraud prevention. These providers control the lifetime of their cookies.
Google Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_ cookies, distinguish visits and sessions. We set these cookies to last up to six months. Google Analytics does not load until you accept analytics cookies.
Your browser remembers your choice for six months. An analytics preference cookie, __Host-hc_analytics, also lasts up to six months and lets us connect consented visits with completed calculator checks, enquiries and bookings. We do not include names, contact details, project addresses or uploaded documents in analytics events. You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the website footer. Rejecting analytics does not affect our forms or services.
Your browser choices
You can inspect, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in, submissions or uploads from working. Optional analytics or advertising cookies must have any required consent before they are enabled; the forms and portal do not require you to agree to marketing.
See our privacy policy for information about project records and your rights.
