How much do SAP calculations cost?
The new build and conversion prices below are for a single dwelling, per stage, based on floor area. Choose Design SAP or As Built SAP when you book.

For a whole house extension assessment, use the home's total floor area including the extension. This is one comparison assessment.
As Built SAP after our Design assessment
£80 per dwelling
When we've completed your Design SAP, this covers your As Built assessment, final EPC and relevant completion reports for a new build or conversion.
For example, a dwelling up to 75 m²: £225 for Design SAP + £80 for our As Built follow-up = £305 across both stages.

Area Weighted U-value check
For an extension with extra glazing. We check whether the insulation and glazing balance the heat lost through your proposed openings.
Area Weighted U-value Calculation: A calculation comparing your proposed extension with the Part L reference extension of the same size and shape. U-value Calculations: All U-value calculations used in your assessment. If we need to follow this with a whole house SAP assessment, we'll credit your Area Weighted check fee against the SAP price.

Get the calculated U-values for your proposed wall, roof and floor, with a PDF report ready for building control.
U-value Calculations: Three individual calculations covering your wall, roof and floor construction. PDF Report: Your construction build-ups and calculated U-values, ready for building control. Calculation Standards: BS EN ISO 6946:2017 and BS EN ISO 13370:2017, following BRE BR 443 conventions. These are individual construction calculations. This package is not an Area Weighted U-value check.

Pricing questions
Does the SAP price include Design and As Built? Each stage is priced separately. If we complete your Design SAP, your As Built follow-up is £80 per dwelling. A whole house extension comparison is a separate assessment.
Is an EPC included? Your final EPC is included with the As Built SAP assessment for a new build or conversion. It isn't part of a Design-only assessment or a whole house extension comparison. We don't carry out air tightness testing.
How much do I pay when booking SAP calculations? Payment is due in full when booking, unless your quote specifies a different arrangement.
What if my extension needs whole house SAP after the Area Weighted check? We'll confirm the SAP assessment fee and credit what you've paid for our Area Weighted check against it.
What about several dwellings or a larger property? Send us your plans for a quote . We'll price the assessments around the number of dwellings, their sizes and the work needed.
